28th October 2018:

Nothing was too much trouble for Sandra and Miles. We were very spoilt and had a great stay in their beautiful home. Tips about local attractions and places to eat were invaluable and supplies of tea and cake were plentiful and very welcome. Great attention had obviously been paid to every aspect of our stay and was very much appreciated. Thank you both for your exceptional hospitality

Tips:

Walks around Charleston are described well in their leaflet. Black boys Inn was very good. Satnav directions to Monks House are not to be trusted. An impromptu visit to Glyndebourne Tour was a highlight

Another great break in the milking parlour at Little Norlington. Sandra looked after us so well as usual and we will be back in the not too distant future. Great escape away from the biz!

Tips:

Just chill and enjoy the countryside or visit the coast. Local pub does great food.

Another great stay at Little Norlington. We were extremely well looked after by hosts Sandra and Miles, staying in the fully self-contained Milking Parlour with its own private decking area. Wonderful breakfast delivered by Sandra and enjoyed on decking in the morning sunshine. Can't praise this b&b and it's owners high enough.

Tips:

Just chill and enjoy the countryside. Good meals served at the nearby pub "The Cock".

A real gem which we are delighted to find. We'll certainly be returning for another stay. We had such a warm welcome and everything was perfect - no criticisms at all.

Tips:

We can't really comment on this fully as we were only there for a short stay. However, the point of our stay was to go to the opera at Glyndebourne and it is of course absolutely perfectly placed for that.

The accommodation is very comfortable and clean. The barn conversion has been tastefully and carefully done. We were grateful for the opportunity to use the outdoor furniture and the beautiful, spacious living room. Sandra and Miles were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for Sandra. We felt that we were very well looked after indeed.

Tips:

Sandra recommended the nearby Cock Inn for our evening meal, and we all enjoyed the food there. Brighton is easily accessible and the Royal Pavilion is well worth a visit. We spent a lovely morning at Sheffield Park, a National Trust garden, which is beautiful and has something to offer in every season, especially if you like trees and lakes.

My husband & I enjoyed a 4 night stay at Little Norlington Barn, and could not have been made more welcome. Sandra and Miles are excellent hosts, and go out of their way to ensure that every aspect of their clients' stay is enjoyable. The accommodation is spotless, the breakfasts are both hearty and healthy, and nothing is too much trouble. In short, Sandra and Miles have got customer service off to a fine art!

Tips:

We used the location as a central base for touring a number of local attractions, including Sheffield Park (National Trust), Plumpton races, the Connaught Theatre at Worthing, Battle and Rye. Sandra had booked an evening meal for us at the Cock Horse (highly recommended), and had pre-booked a taxi for our trip to the races.

If there is a better place to stay than Little Norlington Barn I have yet to find it. Our welcome from Sandra and Miles was excellent, we were shown around the entire property and all the facilities were explained. A welcome cup of tea and cake were much appreciated after a long journey. We stayed in 'The Milking Parlour' a self contained converted barn building which was spotlessly clean, bright and very comfortable. It has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. The shower room is downstairs and has a good powerful walk in shower and good quality towels and toiletries. The attic style bedroom is large, has a comfortable double bed and fabulous views over the countryside. The area itself is very quiet, little or no traffic, a haven of peace and tranquility. Sandra and Miles could not have been more helpful with directions, local maps and recommendations for places to visit. A fantastic place to stay.

Tips:

We stayed here as it was close to Glyndbourne where we were visiting the opera. Glyndbourne is literally 10 minutes drive away. The location is also good for Seaford, Lewes and the Channel coast.

10th July 2017:

A friendly welcome from Sandra with tea (herbal tea for one of us) and delicious home made lemon drizzle cake.Peaceful country setting and ideally placed for Glyndebourne. We stayed in the Kicking Horse Suite-immaculate- with separate but very close bathroom and it's own staircase to suite so quite private- and with sittingroom with good views. Breakfast, in the dining room with other guests at a large table, was great-fresh berries, home made granola, yoghurt etc fruit juice, then choice of cooked breakfasts with croissants, toast etc. We saw the Stag Room which has an en suite after the other guests left which was equally attractive but different with sofa in the bedroom and king-size rather than double bed. We will definitely try to book next year as it was the best place we have found having tried a number of others over the years.

Tips:

Sandra will advise on this

6th July 2017:

We stayed here for the Love Supreme 2017 jazz festival weekend at Glynde Place. It is just eight minutes drive away. Glyndebourne is even closer so it is an ideal location for these events. We loved it so much that we stayed on a couple of extra nights and used it as a base to explore the area. If there was ever a place for which five stars is not enough this is it. We stayed in the Stag Room which was not cheap at £150 per night, but we felt it was worth paying. Sandra and Miles actually let out two of the rooms in their luxurious converted barn and also a detached milking parlour. Whilst guests are in residence they live mainly in an annex at the rear. The location is rural, down a quiet lane, and there is plenty of parking space at the front. On arrival we were welcomed by Sandra with coffee and homemade cake. Throughout she made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. Every little thing had been thought of and we wanted for nothing. The breakfast was to die for. There was a choice of full English and salmon and scrambled egg for the main event. Everything was homemade (e.g. spelt bread, marmalade, granola) or organic and mostly locally sourced (e.g. bacon, sausages, eggs and even the coffee). There was yoghurt, fruit (e.g. strawberries, kiwi, mango, pineapple, cherries, raspberries, blueberries) and croissants. I've probably forgotten something! The room had a very comfortable double bed and sofa, Smart TV, bathroom with luxurious furnishings, sheets and towels etc. In the evening there are some excellent eating places locally in Lewes, Ringmer and nearby villages. Due to the location you really need to drive though. The nearest pub is about 20 minutes walk away. Sandra will be able to recommend. The quality was everywhere and it won't surprise you to know that we have our tickets for Love Supreme 2018 already and have booked to stay here again next year.

An excellent B&B of considerable interest with a warm and comfortable feel from all the oak beams and gothic doors. The whole place was immaculately kept even the large dog blended in well! The Milking Parlour is an outstandingly comfortable place to stay. There is a well equipped open plan living room downstairs and the kitchen has everything you might want. The upstairs bedroom is cosy. There is additionally a quiet patio in full sunlight for warm days. Sandra's breakfasts are a delight, everything home made or home prepared. We love the place.

Having stayed with Sandra in June we enjoyed it so much that we cancelled our accommodation booked for this visit to stay here again and it was as perfect as the first. The property and rooms are fabulous and the attention to detail is second to none. I have never stayed in a B&B, or indeed hotel, that is so clean and thoughtfully considered. In addition, Sandra and Miles are warm, entertaining and knowledgable hosts. It would be remiss not to mention the outstanding breakfast. One of the best... ever! I would highly suggest not to make plans for lunch! Due to their proximity to Glyndebourne I am thankful that we will have many more excuses to stay here and can't wait!!
